Summarizing a Story
About Summarizing a Story
Fourth grade Language Arts practice on summarizing. Kids read a short original story about a character with a goal and a problem, then choose the summary that covers the beginning, the problem, and the ending without leaving out the big idea. Questions can be read aloud with the speaker button.
There are 3 levels of 10 questions each, from easy to challenging. A wrong answer gets a hint, a second miss shows the answer, and stars are earned at the end. Nothing is timed, and no sign-in is needed.
