About Word Categories
Second grade Language Arts practice on sorting words into categories. Children pick the word that fits a group such as animals, fruits, tools or planets, find the word that does not belong and name the group. Each question can be read aloud.
There are 3 levels of 10 questions each, from easy to challenging. A wrong answer gets a hint, a second miss shows the answer, and stars are earned at the end. Nothing is timed, and no sign-in is needed.
