Game Description
In Hook Rush, players swing through a cave using a grappling hook while collecting coins and avoiding hazards. Every 300 meters, the player reaches a multiplication gate with two answer paths. Students must solve the multiplication fact and guide the character through the tunnel with the correct answer. Choosing the wrong answer ends the run.
Pre Skills:
Students should know how to skip count, understand multiplication as equal groups or repeated addition, recognize multiplication symbols, and solve basic facts from 2 × 2 through 12 × 12.
What to do next?
Have students record the multiplication fact that ended their run, solve it again, and write a related fact family. Then let them replay and try to beat their distance while focusing on accuracy before speed.
