Math Dash Instructions
In Math Dash, you have to solve multiplication problems fast enough to stay ahead of the Muncher. Each obstacle shows a multiplication problem, and your job is to type the correct answer before your character reaches it.
Use the number keys on your keyboard or the on-screen keypad to enter answers. For example, if the problem is 4×6, type 24. When you answer correctly, your character clears the obstacle and keeps running. Keep solving problems to increase your score and stay alive.
The game starts with easier multiplication facts like ×2 and ×3, then gets harder as you solve more problems. As your score goes up, new tables are added until you are practicing multiplication facts all the way up to ×12. The game includes a Normal mode and a Training mode. In Normal mode, the Muncher chases you, and wrong answers make you trip. In Training mode, the answer is shown, there is no Muncher, and you can practice at your own pace.
Math Dash Tips
Watch the problem bubble
The problem bubble shows what you need to solve next. Focus on the multiplication problem above the character, then type the answer using the keyboard or keypad.
Type carefully
In Normal mode, a wrong number makes your character fall. Each fall takes longer to recover from, which gives the Muncher more time to catch up.
Start in Training mode
Training mode is great if you are still learning your multiplication facts. The answer is shown, so you can practice the rhythm of the game without worrying about losing.
Use Normal mode for a challenge
Once you are ready, switch to Normal mode. The answer is hidden, the Muncher chases you, and you have to solve each problem from memory.
Keep going to unlock harder facts
The game begins with smaller multiplication tables, but the range grows as you solve more problems. Try to survive long enough to reach the higher tables.
Use the on-screen keypad
The keypad is helpful on tablets, touchscreens, or if you want a cleaner way to enter answers. You can also use your regular keyboard numbers.
