Dividing with 12

Division Practice
Strengthen your division skills by solving quick problems and tracking your streaks and accuracy.

Student Tips:

  • Think of division as “sharing equally” or “how many groups.”

  • Use multiplication facts to check your answers (if 12 ÷ 3 = 4, then 4 × 3 = 12).

  • Draw simple groups or arrays if you get stuck.

Teaching Instruction:
Begin by modeling division with real objects (like counters or blocks) to show equal sharing. I like the Schoolhouse Rock series of Multiplication videos. The songs each have a grouping example and are good to use for students learning their division skills as well.
