Comparing Decimals
Use <, >, or = to compare two decimal numbers.
Student Tips:
- Line up the decimal points
- Start from the left and compare each digit
- First different digit tells you which is bigger
- 4.67 > 4.59 because 6 > 5 in the tenths place
- Add zeros to make comparing easier: 3.5 = 3.50
